''Join the Official Acclaim Translation Team! Earn Acclaim coins and other awesome rewards!''
Imagine your favorite game published in your home language. That's our vision.
We've discovered the people that do the best job of translating real sounding game story and dialog is the players, the people that love and understand games. That means people like you!
Working with our community we've developed a cutting edge tool that lets you directly help the game development team translate everything a player reads.
We have been testing this strategy on our game 9Dragons and right now, it's being translated into 18 languages, and the players are doing an amazing job! Now we're ready to add Ponystars to the project.
To reward the translators that step up to help the Global community, we give them free Acclaim Coins, so all their future game needs costs nothing.
We've already given away over 1 million Acclaim coins!
If you are fluent in English and ANY other language, then please join in on this groundbreaking project.
What are you waiting for?
Log in to your Acclaim account and go to one of these tools to start earning translation points:
http://translate.acclaim.com/ponystars/
Then enter "Start Translating"
Note: If you're a language student or a game industry student, we supply professional credit for your resume based on the number of words you get approved.
We have 21 languages in the tool: Arabic, Balkans, Bulgarian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Spanish, Thai, Turkish, and Urdu.
The program works like this:
Players go to the tool, choose a language and a category they wish to translate in. The tool presents the game one phrase at a time (I can give you a technical description of this later, if you wish). Once the player translates that phrase, they click Submit and the phrase goes to a holding queue. When there are three translations of that phrase it then goes to a manager queue. Managers choose the best phrase and Approve it (or reject all 3 if they're bad). Once a phrase is approved both the player and the manager get 1 point for each word in the phrase. Points can be redeemed for Acclaim coins.
